Talons Audiobook Available Now!

Recently, an audiobook based on my novella “Talons” was published to Audible and iTunes. And if you know nothing about it, that’s what this post’s about!

The blurb for the audiobook:

In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, an immortal beast re-emerges from time forgotten to confront the chief of police with a simple request: Help him back into society in exchange for his expertise with criminal investigations. However, before the creature has the opportunity to make his existence known to the world, he stumbles upon a murder, and must protect the only two witnesses, a single mother and her young son, from the murderer until the trial. Will his beast prevent him from showing the world that he’s still human inside?

It’s read by veteran Hollywood actor Michael C. Gwynne, and if you love men with deep voices, you’ll get two-and-a-half hours of Mr. Gwynne portraying the titular lizardman character telling his story of how he tried to come back to society after centuries of hiding.

So why should you care? Well, I’m willing to give this to you for free.

First, if you haven’t gotten an Audible account yet, you can go to the links below (depending on the appropriate store for you):

Second, register your free trial account.

Third, make sure my audiobook Talons is your first purchase with this new account. You get it completely for free, and you get to keep it even if you choose to cancel your free membership (but Audible is really worth the money if you enjoy audiobooks at all, so keep it for a while!)

Fourth, give it a listen, and if you wouldn’t mind, provide honest feedback on Audible about the audiobook.

If you don’t have an Audible account, and you do not want to get one, you can still purchase the audiobook from Amazon or iTunes.

iTunes USA:

Thank you for reading!

Gen Con 2019

I am all set up at Gen Con 2019 in Indianapolis, with all three Mariko Takashi books available for sale. If you’re at the show, stop by my booth in the Authors’ Avenue in the Exhibitor Hall to pick up a personalized copy of Mariko, and even see the complete pages for the abandoned Mariko Takashi manga. Say hi and you can see me writing the fourth Mariko book at the booth (if you’re interested in that sort of thing).

Mariko Takashi and the Case of the Living Dinosaur is available!

The third Mariko Takashi book, Mariko Takashi and the Case of the Living Dinosaur, is finally available in North America. You can get a copy of the paperback on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The eBook is available on the Kindle store.

Home Stretch for Mariko Takashi 3

We are in the home stretch for getting the third book of Mariko Takashi to the bookstores. This was due to be done in October, but there was an extreme delay, due to real life issues, with the interior art being done in a timely fashion. These illustrations are nearly complete, then the book gets laid out, sent to the cover designer, then off to the printer and the details sent to bookstore for pre-orders.

Soon, Mariko Takashi and the Case of the Living Dinosaur, will be available!

Gen Con 51

I will be attending Gen Con 51, in early August. I will be there as an author, and right now it looks like I will only have the first three Mariko Takashi books available at this show. The fourth book may not be available until late August at the rate things are happening.

I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Mariko Takashi is sold out from TANSTAAFL Press

The wonderful guys at TANSTAAFL Press are sold out of the first edition of the Gremlin Horde. I am working on the next edition and reprint, but things are extremely busy around here. I am juggling the first three books alone.

Watch this site for more information regarding the next books.

Mariko Takashi and the Case of the Gremlin Horde First Printing Books Available

My good pals at TANSTAAFL Press, who picked up my old Dark Elf Ninja series for a complete reprinting, also have the last remaining copies of Mariko Takashi and the Case of the Gremlin Horde first printing books for sale. There are fewer than 100 available, after an incredible sale at Gen Con 50 this year, so if you wanted a first printing, this is the only time you’ll be able to nab one.

I am also shipping them plenty of bookplates, signed by my wife, the internal illustrator, and myself, the author, so in case you never get to meet up with me when you have the book, you can still have an autographed copy.

Pick one up before they’re gone, and if you wish, let them know that Christopher sent you.

Gen Con 50

I will be attending Gen Con 50 in Indianapolis as an author in the Author’s Avenue. I will have available the first edition of Mariko Takashi and the Case of the Gremlin Horde, as well as some free bookmarks promoting this entry in my new series. Stop by, say hi, and if you are there on Thursday this year, I will have a special reduced price on the book for the early birds only.

A new home, for now

I’ve been extremely busy with multiple projects for the past few years, and have not been attentive to my personal websites. Even though I build software to generate large-scale communities, I have not been too keen on putting in the hours after my normal job to setup a website that would be fully interactive and easy to update. For now, I’ve stuck with a WordPress site, with minimal content, just to have something on the web again.

It will have to do until either my writing career really takes off, or I tackle writing software to maintain a writer’s website myself.
